Liran Markin
Founder & engineer. Two-time IOI medalist.
Tel Aviv, Israel
I build systems and care most about making them fast. Currently working on something new. Previously I cofounded Edwin and Genie, and was the first employee at Sentra. Along the way I’ve worked as a vulnerability researcher, software engineer, sales engineer, and product manager.
Competitive programming shaped how I think about problems. I’m a two-time IOI bronze medalist and did an M.Sc in Computer Science at the University of Haifa at 19, where I now coach the ICPC team and lecture the competitive programming course. My background spans algorithms, low-level systems, and national security, including years in an Israeli military intelligence unit.
Awards
Two-time IOI bronze medalist (2015, 2016), and a three-time medalist at the ICPC Southwestern Europe Regional Contest with the University of Haifa - silver in 2016, bronze in 2017 and 2018.
